NATHAN FUN BOUNCE EXCURSION

We took the kids to the Fun Bounz place today for part 2 of Nathan' s Birthday festivities. Had to split up the activities so that Peter can be part of the fun. (He's working this week),. Nathan's looking forward to being 6. It is a very exciting thing. He is stoked about everyone coming and especially Aunt Angie and baby Hudson. Grampa & Shama are bringing crawfish for the grownups to eat Friday night. I am sure we'll have lots of fun then too!
Tomorrow I'll be spending the lunch hour at Nathan's school we'll be bringing cupcakes for everyone. Then later after gymnastics we'll be off to Chuck E Cheese for dinner and games..
Is it just me or does it seem like he gets alot of attention on his Birthday... ha!
I've decided to make his cake this year since Allison's last one was a "homemade". I had lots of help and encouragement on that one and it turned out pretty ok and I was sort of proud of myself for doing it. Seems weird though because I thought when I was a kid that being a grownup and buying store bought cakes was so much better. Turns out I was wrong. It is more special and heartfelt when you make it yourself.
We shall see how this one goes. Course Nathan doesnt' care about what It looks like long as it's got lots of icing!

Wish me luck!

Islands of Adventure

Orlando/ Universal Pictures

Universal Orlando Pictures

Florida/Universal Orlando Vacation Pictures

We're Back from our Fun Florida Vacation. We spent 3 days at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The kids had lots of fun and so did Nathan & Allison. They got to see just about all the rides and amusements. I wish I could have posted all the pictures and also the ones we didn't capture on film. Tons of funnies and stories we'll remember for a very long time. Lets just say Nathan got up close and personal with JAWS!. It was hilarious. We could n't have planned it better. We took the kids into all the attractions and we got fussed at a few times by Allison for some of the scary ones but all in all I think it was a good experience.

After that we spent a few relaxing days by the pool in Sebastian , Fl. Followed by a hellacious 14 hour drive home. Next year we fly.. Not a chance of driving that again.!

The Office & Laundry Room in Progress

Peter's been busy at home

This is the work in progress that Peter has been busy with lately. The office got the cabinets that were in the utility room. He added the shelving in between. (They will be stained to match later)
The laundry room is just about done. We had plumbers in to rough in the hot and cold water but Peter hooked up the sink, installed countertops and hung the cabinets by himself. We've got to stain them and put doors and door pulls still but ALMOST THERE. I can hardly wait to fold clothes in there now. All I need is a laptop and some music and I'll be set.!
